Practune ("Practune", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Practune mobile application and related services (the "App").
Practune is designed as a music practice and rehearsal tool that allows users to play audio, create markers, save practice sections, repeat selected sections, adjust playback settings, and use supported YouTube content for practice.
We have designed Practune to collect as little personal information as reasonably necessary.
Practune is designed with a local-first approach. In the current version:
Practune allows you to select compatible audio files stored on your device. Depending on your device and operating system, these may include MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV and other supported audio formats.
Practune accesses only the files that you choose or authorize through the operating system's file or media selection interface. Practune does not automatically scan, copy or upload your entire music library.
Your selected local audio files are used only to provide features such as:
When you use Practune, the App may create and store information related to your practice sessions. This may include track titles and references, project names, marker names and timestamps, loop start and end points, saved practice sections, playback speed, last playback position, recently played tracks, countdown preferences, rewind and forward preferences, and other playback settings.
In the current local-first version of Practune, this information is stored primarily on your device. We do not currently require this information to be uploaded to a Practune account or cloud server.
Practune allows you to organize audio into projects, for example for dance routines, music practice, rehearsals, performances, competitions, lessons, songs or exercise routines.
Project names and related organization data are stored locally on your device unless a future cloud synchronization feature is enabled.
Practune may allow you to add supported YouTube links for practice purposes. Practune does not:
Supported YouTube content is played through an official YouTube player or other playback method permitted by YouTube. Practune may locally store limited information required to reopen a YouTube item, such as the video ID, video URL or reference, marker timestamps, practice section timestamps, last playback position and project association.
When you use YouTube features inside Practune, information may also be processed by Google or YouTube according to their own terms and privacy practices. You should review the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. Practune does not control the privacy practices of YouTube or Google.
Practune may request certain device permissions only when required to provide a feature.
Files and media: Practune may request permission to access audio or media that you choose to use in the App. Practune does not require unrestricted access to unrelated personal files where the operating system provides a more limited file selection method.
Internet access: may be required for YouTube playback, opening external links, checking online service availability and future cloud features. Local audio playback and locally stored practice information may continue to work without an internet connection where technically supported.
Notifications: if notification features are introduced, Practune may request permission to send notifications, for example practice reminders. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
The current version of Practune does not require users to create an account to use the core local audio practice features. We therefore do not currently require information such as your full name, email address, password or phone number for basic local use.
If optional accounts or cloud synchronization are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what account information is collected and how it is used.
Practune does not currently upload your local audio library to a Practune cloud storage service as part of the basic functionality described in this policy.
Future versions may offer optional features such as cloud backup, synchronization between devices, shared practice projects, teacher/student collaboration and account-based settings. If these services are introduced, users will be informed and this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when such processing begins.
Practune does not currently use your personal information for behavioral advertising.
If analytics or diagnostic services are introduced, they may process limited technical information such as app version, device type, operating system version, crash information, feature usage and performance information. Any such services will be reviewed and this Privacy Policy will be updated when necessary. We aim to use only the minimum information reasonably necessary to understand and improve the App.
Practune does not currently display third-party advertising. We do not currently create advertising profiles based on your Practune activity and we do not sell your Practune usage information to advertising companies.
If the advertising model of the App changes in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
Practune may offer optional paid features, subscriptions or in-app purchases. Where purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, payments are processed by the relevant platform provider. Practune does not directly receive or store your complete payment card number from purchases processed through those app stores.
Practune may receive limited transaction-related information necessary to determine whether a purchase or subscription is active, such as the product or subscription identifier, purchase status, subscription status, transaction reference and expiration or renewal information. Practune uses this information only to provide and manage purchased features.
Information processed by Practune may be used to:
We do not use local audio files to train artificial intelligence models. We do not sell local audio files. We do not publish your local audio files.
Practune does not sell your personal information. We do not share your local audio files with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Information may be processed by third-party service providers only when required to provide specific App functionality, for example Apple, Google, YouTube, app store payment providers and future infrastructure or technical service providers. Each third-party service may operate under its own privacy policy and terms.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal processes, protect the security of the App, investigate fraud or abuse, protect our legal rights, or protect users or the public where required by law.
Most practice-related data in the current version of Practune is stored locally on your device, including markers, timestamps, projects, loop sections, playback settings, recent tracks and last playback positions.
Local data remains on your device until it is deleted through the App, removed through your device settings, cleared by the operating system, or removed when the App is uninstalled, depending on the operating system and device behavior.
Local information is generally retained for as long as it remains stored on your device. You can remove practice information by deleting relevant tracks, markers, sections, projects or App data where those options are available.
Uninstalling the App will generally remove locally stored application data according to your operating system's normal behavior. Information processed by third-party services may be retained according to those services' own retention policies.
Because the current version of Practune primarily stores practice information locally, you can delete information directly from the App or remove the App from your device. You may delete individual markers, practice sections, projects, track references and recent activity through available App controls.
If Practune introduces user accounts or cloud storage in the future, we will provide an appropriate method for requesting deletion of cloud-stored personal information.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by Practune. However, no electronic storage system, mobile device, network or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining reasonable security protections on their own devices.
Practune is a general-purpose music practice and rehearsal utility. The App is not designed to require children to provide personal information in order to use its core local playback features. We do not knowingly sell personal information relating to children.
If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected in a manner that requires parental or guardian consent under applicable law and such consent was not obtained, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information. Parents or guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information to us may contact us using the contact information below.
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide certain rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to:
Many of Practune's current features store information only on your device, meaning we may not have access to that information and therefore may not be able to retrieve it remotely. To make a privacy-related request concerning information that we control, contact us using the details below.
Practune may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties, for example YouTube, Google, Apple and Google Play. Practune is not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those services before using them.
Practune may be available to users in multiple countries. Privacy laws vary by jurisdiction. Where applicable, we will process personal information in accordance with relevant privacy and data protection requirements. If you have questions regarding your privacy rights in your country or region, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes may be required when new features are introduced, third-party services change, data handling practices change, or legal or regulatory requirements change.
When we make changes, the updated Privacy Policy will be published on this page. The Last Updated date at the top of this page will indicate when the policy was most recently revised. We encourage users to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
If you have questions, requests or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy or Practune's privacy practices, please contact us.
For privacy-related requests, please include "Practune Privacy Request" in the subject line of your email so we can identify your request more easily.
